The Recruit by Robert Muchamore

"you must have been frightened, but handled yourself tremendously. you kept a level head and even agreed to return to mission. I've decided to classify your overall performance as outstanding."

...The connection between the quotation from my book and the connection between my concept of victory is, in the book James Adams takes down a terrorist organization group 'Help Earth', while James is working undercover he is exposed to the Anthrax bacteria and was on the line between life and death, luckily James wasn't exposed long enough to kill him. In the James was rewarded with the biggest undercover take down of a terrorist organization in Britain and was the navy blue Cherub t-shirt which doesn't sound like a big deal but at Cherub earning the navy blue Cherub shirt is a huge deal, it shows your experience, respect and honour at Cherub, so for James to awarded that on his fist mission was a huge victory in his eyes and others in the Cherub community. This is also connected to the poem i have chosen because James was given the option to take the mission or give it to a more experienced Cherub agent but James took the risk and overcame his fears to prove to Cherub that he is worth keeping, show he has improved greatly as a new agent and that he is hard working and determined to help the world at any cost even if it costs him his own life. "first mission, James,' Ewart said. 'worried?' James shrugged.'should I be?' Ewart laughed. 'I'm nervous, James. This baby is complicated. You wouldn't normally get something like this until you'd done a few easy missions, but we need a twelve year old boy who could pass for Amy's brother, and your the best we've got,  'There is a tone of stuff to learn. I've cut your schooling back. Amy has written a mission dossier for you. Don't be affraid to ask questions. The mission starts in ten days, you up for it ?', 'yes James said.
