Quotation two

Defeat

" man is not made for defeat. A man can be destroyed but not defeated"- Ernest Hemingway.

Reflection

What I think this quote is trying to say is that a man will do anything not to be defeated and will die trying to prove that. This shows a sense of victory by man will not back down from what they believe in and that would be there sense of victory. The speaker of the quotation is Ernest Hemingway. Ernest Hemingway was a author and journalist, he produced most of his work during the period of 1920-1950 and won the nobel piece prize in 1954. since Ernest was a author and journalist the circumstance was in one of his very famous book "The Old Man And The Sea". The significance of the quotation is Ernest Hemingway is a an author so he was probably used to critics being very hard on him and being close to ending his career of being an author but he never gave up and became an excellent author...
